How We work

We believe every child is unique, and therapy should reflect their individuality. By creating a safe and engaging environment utilising evidence based practices through play and art, we empower children to explore their emotions, develop problem-solving skills, and build resilience—without the constraints of traditional talk therapy.

At Brave Little Heroes Psychology Hub, we are dedicated to supporting children’s emotional and psychological well-being through innovative, child-centered therapeutic approaches. Our therapists integrate play and art-based therapies, recognizing that these creative modalities offer children a natural and effective means to express themselves, process emotions, and navigate challenges.

Individualised Therapy

Therapy

At Brave Little Heroes Psychology Hub, kindness and empathy is at the heart of what we do. Our evidence-based interventions are tailored to each child’s unique needs, blending structured approaches like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness with creative techniques. This combination helps children build confidence, regulate emotions, and overcome challenges in a way that feels engaging and supportive. We create a safe and welcoming, fun space where children feel empowered to explore their inner strengths and develop practical tools to thrive at home, school, and beyond.

Assessment

Comprehensive assessments help us understand your child’s strengths, challenges, and developmental needs. Our assessments explore areas such as cognitive abilities, emotional well-being, and behavioural patterns, providing valuable insights for effective intervention. Whether supporting ADHD, utilising Childhood OCD Treatment or Paediatric Anxiety Treatment, assessments guide tailored support strategies for each child. We ensure that the process is engaging, stress-free, and informative, equipping families and schools with clear, actionable recommendations

Play Therapy

Play is the natural language of children. Through toys, games, imaginative play, and sensory activities, children express emotions, process experiences, and strengthen coping skills in a supportive setting. Play therapy fosters emotional regulation, confidence, and problem-solving abilities while making therapeutic work enjoyable.

Art Therapy

For children who find verbalizing emotions difficult, art therapy provides an alternative avenue for expression. Engaging in drawing, painting, and crafting allows children to explore feelings, enhance self-awareness, and develop healthy coping strategies, all within a nurturing and creative environment.

Reports

Our detailed reports provide families, schools, and allied professionals with practical insights into a child’s needs and progress. Whether summarizing therapy goals, assessment results, or personalised recommendations, our reports are designed to be clear, actionable, and empowering. These reports also support Parent Coaching Therapy, ensuring families have the guidance and strategies to reinforce progress at home and in everyday life.

Beyond Individual Therapy

Group Programs & Parent Workshops

At Brave Little Heroes Psychology Hub, our group programs provide a fun, supportive environment where children develop social confidence, emotional resilience, and problem-solving skills. Led by psychologists, these programs cater to children with social anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, and difficulties with peer interactions. Programs run during school terms (8 weeks) or holiday periods (2 weeks) and are tailored to specific developmental needs.

School Programs & Consultations

We collaborate with schools to support student well-being, emotional regulation, and social skills through tailored school-based programs. Our consultations assist educators with behavior management strategies, Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), and inclusive curriculum planning, ensuring students receive the support they need to thrive.

Supporting Parents, Empowering Children

At Brave Little Heroes Psychology Hub, we know parents are their child’s greatest allies. That’s why we equip families with practical tools to reinforce therapeutic progress at home. From personalised social stories and strengths-based ‘superpower’ posters to tailor-made rewards charts and step-by-step strategies, our easy-to-use resources make emotional regulation, behavioural support, and confidence-building part of everyday life.

These tools are especially valuable for children facing school refusal, anxiety, or emotional challenges, helping them feel safe, capable, and ready to take on their next big adventure. With the right guidance, parents can empower their little hero to thrive—one brave step at a time.
